• Governing Body
  • There shall be a Governing Body of the Society to look after and manage the day to day affairs of the society. It shall consist of minimum 3 and Maximum 10 members.

    • PRESIDENT —— ONE
    • VICE PRESIDENT —— ONE
    • SECRETARY —— ONE
    • JOINT SECRETARY —— ONE
    • TREASURER —— ONE
    • PAST PRESIDENT —— ONE (Ex-officio Co-opted)
    • EXECUTIVE MEMBERS —— MAX.4 (Optional)

    The initial and subsequent term of the Governing Body shall be a period of 3 years from the date of assuming office.

  • Mode of Election
  • The subsequent Governing Body of the Society shall be elected for a term of 3 years in the General Body meetings. The secret/open ballot system shall be of the mode of election.

  • Filling Up Casual Vacancies
  • The casual vacancies in the Governing Body, arising out of whatever reason or circumstance, shall be filled up by a Resolution passed by majority of the General Body. However, the Governing Body, for the interim purpose, till the next meeting of General Body is convened and held, can appoint a Member in such Casual Vacancy whose term of office shall expire at the commencement of the first subsequent meeting of the General Body. The Governing Body, in such first subsequent meeting of the General Body, shall seek approval for filling of Casual Vacancy.

  • Powers and Duties of Office Bearers / Governing Body:
  • Governing Body shall be responsible for the management and administration of all affairs of the society and shall meet at least once in every quarter or any such frequency decided by them. Governing body shall have the following powers and duties :

    • To prepare annual programmes and draft policies for approval by the General Body.
    • To take necessary steps for the implementation of all the programmes and policies approved by the General Body.
    • To pass the necessary expenditure to meet the day to day requirements of the Society.
    • To take decisions on applications for new Membership.
    • To invest the funds of the Society not immediately required in such a manner as may be determined by the Governing Body.
    • To manage the affairs of the Society and to keep control over the property of the Society and all its assets.
    • To take all such other legal steps which may appear beneficial for the smooth and better management of the Society.
    • The Quorum of Governing Body meetings shall be 1/3rd or 2 members of the Governing Body, whichever is higher.
    • The Governing Body has the powers to add/ delete / modify the abovesaid powers and duties.
  • Office Bearers and Their Duties:
  • The following members of the Governing Body will act as office bearers.

      PRESIDENT:
    • He shall preside over all the meetings of General Body and Governing Body.
    • He has right to spend upto Rs. 20,000/- per occasion for the cause of Society, more than this amount it needs the approval of the Governing Body.
    • In case of equality of votes in a meeting he shall tender his casting vote.
    • He shall supervise work of the other office bearers from time to time.
    • He shall keep all types of records of Society, including the register of member containing therein the names, address and the other brief particulars.
      VICE-PRESIDENT:
    • In the absence of President, the Vice-President shall enjoy all powers and duties which are entrusted to the President.
      SECRETARY:
    • He shall undertake all type of correspondence on behalf of the Society.
    • He shall convene the meetings of General Body, Governing Body and he shall inform every member regarding time, date and venue of the meetings through a ten days prior written notice.
    • He has the right to spend upto Rs. 15,000/- per occasion for the cause of the Society.
      JOINT SECRETARY:
    • In the absence of Secretary, the Joint Secretary shall enjoy all powers and duties which are entrusted to the Secretary.
      TREASURER:
    • He shall collect subscription, gift, grant-in-aid and donations from the members and general public and he shall also be responsible, for keeping and maintenance of true and correct accounts of the society funds. He has the right to keep a balance of Rs. 10,000/- in cash with him for the cause of the Society.
      PAST PRESIDENT:
    • The President of the immediately previous term of the Governing Body of the society shall become the ex-officio co-opted member of the Governing Body and he shall extend all his support to maintain the continuity of the functions of the Governing Body.
      EXECUTIVE MEMBERS:
    • They shall assist in day to day work of Society as directed by the President and Secretary.
